01. i'm designing a wedding invitation for a girl in new york city. maypole continues to amaze me.
02. reading this made me think seriously about cross-fit.
03. i've turned to public transportation to commute to work. a train ride, a trax ride, a bus ride... and 50 pages read each way.
04. i've noticed the backpack is the official travel gear of the commuter. how about this one?
05. my christmas tree is still up... and i can't even hide it behind the
curtains, within the walls of my own home. my christmas tree is on my
front porch and the time to take it down is nowhere in sight.
06. i'm still diet coke-less. i had one the other day at the movie theater, but i'm holding strong!
07. i fly home next month and my mom and i plot our agenda everyday. disneyland. doodling my maypole orders in the swing on the back porch. watching the bachelor with my childhood best friend. shopping south coast plaza with liz. photographing above the shore line at the torrey pines glider port with my dad. and thrifty ice cream.
08. oscar nods are out and bestie jen and i have already started getting to work. argo, life of pi, django unchained.... we have so much work to do.
09. i bought two pair of citizen of humanity jeans at anthro the other day. originally $238, on sale for $13.95. i'm doing backflips.
10. i spent a really spontaneous weekend with holly, her sister, and her babies. real life melts away when i'm in holly's living room, like magic. it's like a haven from real life where all we do is laugh and pull from the archives of our lives to tell stories and eat the newest flavor of skittles and plot crafts we'll never execute and hold babies and indulge in facebook and instagram stalking and slightly judge people {but not very much. that's mean.}. we have the best time together, it's impossible to top.

Aubry, that backpack! My husband got it for me for Christmas. At first I opened the Madewell box and was like...a backpack? You got me a backpack? How...practical. And then it has become my very favorite gift. I wear it all over the city because it is amazing for commuting (which I do everywhere I go out of necessity). It is a little small. But it fits the necessities and the size helps me to limit what I carry so that my back is not regretting the decision to bring my entire life along "just in case".
Oh how I miss Chocolate Malted Crunch.
